You never really leave. . .

I keep finding that when you live in one place, and then leave, you never really leave. Or at least it’s that way for me. I taught at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, from 1990-1996, and the place and town are often in my mind. Admittedly, many things combine to support this permanence. I now live in Milwaukee, but as a devoted Chicago Cubs fan I listen almost exclusively to WGN-Radio from Chicago, whose traffic and news coverage regularly mentions Rensselaer. And my sister-in-law lives in Indianapolis, so when we go to visit her we travel down I-65, passing right by Rensselaer—often we’ll drive through the town and via the College, to see what’s up.

Today I came across a nice video on YouTube that Saint Joseph’s put together to advertise the place. I think you’ll agree that it’s a positive picture, indeed. Go, Pumas.
