Maybe a move to Florida isn't the best idea!

Every time I come back from visiting Ave Maria University in Naples, Florida, I wonder whether it might be nice to get a job there and move down to the southernmost reaches of the state with my wife and son. Sam, for one, would have “outside time” near year-round, and my beloved wife, Norah Louise (link), who knows almost every bike and running path here in southeastern Wisconsin, would get to run on new paths and in new parks in tropical Florida. At any rate, the thought of such things warms my heart in late-winter days like today, when it’s but 15 paltry degrees outside here in Wisconsin.

Then the picture below, evidently taken in Everglades National Park, Shark Valley, put the brakes on my happy thoughts…

I love my wife. Maybe a move down there isn’t the best idea!
